Ghattamaneni Mahesh Babu is an Indian actor, producer, media personality, and philanthropist who was born on August 9, 1975. He primarily works in Telugu cinema. He has appeared in more than 25 films and received numerous awards, including one IIFA Utsavam Award, eight Nandi Awards, five Filmfare Telugu Awards, four SIIMA Awards, and three CineMAA Awards. He also owns the production company G. Mahesh Babu Entertainment. He is one of the highest-paid actors in Telugu films.

Babu, the younger son of veteran Telugu actor Krishna, made his debut as a child artist at the age of four in a cameo role in Needa (1979). He then acted as a child artist in eight more films. He won the Nandi Award for Best Male Debut for Rajakumarudu (1999), his lead acting debut. With the supernatural drama Murari (2001) and the action film Okkadu (2003), Babu made his breakthrough. After that, he appeared in a number of other films that were commercially successful, including Athadu (2005), Pokiri (2006), Dookudu (2011), Businessman (2012), and Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu (2013).
